Coastal Flow, located at 7216 S. Tamiami Tr., is hosting an acrylic pour class for those looking to learn how to decorate a glass vase or a canvas. It is being held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and costs $45 per person.

Also, a “Macrame Made Simple” workshop is being hosted at the Mellow Mushroom, 6727 S. Tamiami Tr., from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 1. It’s part of the restaurant’s ongoing Arts & Crafts Series.
The event features Gina of Norther Charm who will instruct participants on how to make macrame feathers. Provided are cord, driftwood topper, beads and twine. Cost is $23 for those making a medium-sized feather and $35 for a large feather.
