Congratulations and a tip of the hat to Taylor who has been selected as our November Bartender of the Month. This home-grown Sarasotan is currently bartending at Daiquiri Deck, South Siesta. Following is a light-hearted Q&A with Taylor.
Q: What’s your bartending experience and how long have you worked at Daiquiri Deck, South Siesta?
A: I’ve worked at the Daiquiri Deck South Siesta for two years and the drink I’ve perfected is called “Spicy Girl Margarita.”
Q: What is the strangest or funniest experience you witnessed or were party to at work?
A: One day 10 minutes before closing time, late at night, a lady wandered upstairs slightly tipsy with a 5-gallon bucket. Inside the bucket were two Chihuahua puppies. So very cute, but so very strange.
Q: Any hobbies, goals, etc. You enjoy when not working?
A: I’m working on obtaining my real estate license and spending my free time out on a boat.
Q: How would you describe yourself?
A: I consider myself very outgoing, a people person that loves to have a good time.
Q: What makes Daiquiri Deck South Siesta a special place to visit?
A: The Daiquiri Deck South Siesta has an open-air beach vibe concept that is family friendly with a three-story view of siesta key beach and the sunset.
Q: What specialty drink is Daiquiri Deck South Siesta noted for?
A: We are noted for our St. Armand’s margarita, which is made with fresh lime juice and agave nectar – so good!
Q: When is the best time for locals and visitors to enjoy your company at Daiquiri Deck South Siesta?
A: I bartend during Football Sundays where we have the downstairs bar open with sound and offer fantastic football specials or every day of the week for our 3-7 p.m. Happy hour!
