Bartender of the Month

This month's bartender is Carol G., who has been bartending for a long, long time – 30 years and counting.  Carol is from Covington Indiana

and loves working at Captin Curt's.  She says, "The owners treat you like family.  The people who work there are all my kids and we hug each other when leaving work at night."  This sassy gal describes herself as a 75 year-old person that will never grow up.

One of her memorable moments that she loves to recount is when her workers were celebrating her birthday.  "Brad, one of the owners, was bringing in a huge cake through the kitchen with several people.  He tripped and fell smashing the cake so he comes to me with cake on his hands and two lit candles saying, 'Dont say anything…just blow out the candles so we can sing."

Be sure to visit with Carol when coming to Siesta Key and ask for the drink made in her honor.  It's called the Blue Hair Cocktail.  She works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
