Beach University schedule is set

Free environmental education seminars about Siesta Key’s beaches and habitat, known as Beach University, will be held at 9:30 a.m. every Thursday in March at Siesta Beach pavilion, 948 Beach Rd.
It is recommended for ages 10 and up and no registration is required for the free event.
Session topics include:
March 7: Human and Wildlife Conflict, presented by Dr. Maria Passarelli, veterinarian, Save Our Seabirds
March 14: Reef Ball and its Contribution to the Marine Environment, presented by Margie Ploense, director of planned giving, Eternal Reefs Inc.
March 21: Manatee Rehabilitation at the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, presented by Ashley Waite, director of museum experience, the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature
March 28: The Trickle-down Effect: Stormwater to Bay Life, presented by Mollie Holland, Neighborhood Environmental Stewardship Team program coordinator, Sarasota County Public Works.
