The powdery white sands of Sunset Beach on Siesta Key provided the perfect staging for a Pennsylvania couple to tie the knot. Sarah Straney, a 5th grade math teacher at Lancaster Middle School, and Sam Terry, a 4th grade reading teacher at the same school, were joined together by the bride's brother, during an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends.
Sam literally danced his way into Sarah's heart. She recalled the special dance that swept her heart away took place in the kitchen one evening while he was making her dinner. She considers him a true romantic. Just a few years later they would dance together on the Siesta Key shoreline during their wedding ceremony as husband and wife. This dance would seal her heart "his forever".

It didn't take long for love to grip the hearts of Sarah and Sam as both of them remembered saying they loved one another within a few months of dating.
This special couple had so many special memories of one another it was hard to pick up just one. On a night that should've been filled with fright, Sarah mentioned Friday the 13th, the night of their first date almost exactly 3 years
ago. "Sam came to pick me up with a vase filled with tiny seashells and wild flowers. It was the sweetest gesture anyone had ever done for me." Sam vividly remembered how amazing it was to carve pumpkins with her two wonderful kids around the first Halloween they were dating.

Deciding to get married on Siesta Key was a no-brainer. Sarah and Sam we're here in October 2013 for her brothers wedding and fell in love with Siesta Beach. Then in May 2014 while enjoying a fabulous sunset, Sam proposed to Sarah here. Not surprisingly, Sarah and Sam began their week long honeymoon with some family and friends on Siesta Key also. Sarah said, "We wanted to spend our honeymoon on the best beach with all of our favorite people."
