The Sarasota County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to decide on two separate Siesta Key hotel proposals in a span of six days.
At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, the board will discuss and likely vote on an eight-story, 170-room hotel that would be built between Calle Miramar and Beach Road, near the Village.
Next, at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, a hotel/parking lot combo goes before the board. The hotel, which would be located on Old Stickney Point Road near the Key’s south bridge, is seven stories and consists of 120 rooms. The parking garage is five stories and would be located across the street on Stickney Point Road.
Both meetings will be held at the Sarasota County Administration Center, 1660 Ringling Blvd.
