Poinciana trees are in bloom at the Sarasota Garden Club during the month of July and further into the summer.

The flamboyant royal poinciana is often rated as one of the five most beautiful blooming trees in the world. If you have room for a tree, this tree has vermilion (vibrant red blooms) that are drought resistant. It also makes for a great shade tree.
This tree can live in sun and grows to 20 to 30 feet in height and width.
This is a “statement tree” for you. If you need a smaller tree, several dwarf poinciana trees are in our Butterfly Garden. These get about 15 feet in height and width. These come in red and yellow varieties.
Both types of these trees are very easy to grow and both attract butterflies and bees, our great pollinators for other plants and trees.
