The annual Casting for the Kids fishing tournament and family event supports families impacted by childhood cancer, helping them with medical bills, living expenses, and lost wages. It takes place Sept. 29 and 30.

The family event will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Sept. 30 at The Point, 135 Bayview Dr., in Osprey. Among the highlights are a dockside fishing tournament for kids under the age of 14, food, craft beer, games, giveaways, and raffles. At 5 p.m., an awards ceremony and golf cart raffle will be held.
