The Sarasota Board of County Commissioners will conduct a hearing on the six-story, 112-room hotel and restaurant being proposed by Dave Balot for 5810 Midnight Pass Rd. It will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the county’s administrative building at 1660 Ringling Blvd.
On Sept. 1, the county’s planning commission recommended approval by a unanimous 8-0 vote.
If approved, it would be the third new hotel to get the green light since late last year. It’s located where the former Wells Fargo Bank did business, near the Gulf & Bay Club and Jamaica Royale.
