County producing water-quality videos

Sarasota County Government’s Facebook page is now home to a monthly water-quality-related video, running the third Friday of each month. Last week’s first installment featured Lee Hayes Byron, director of UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County. She discusses water-quality initiatives and projects currently underway in the county, including the WaterGoat installation in Whitaker Bayou, with Aaron Zimmerman the the county’s public works operation.

One of the trash-collecting WaterGoat systems exists in nearby Phillippi Creek.
