Creedence Clearwater Revival bass guitarist Stu Cook, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, sold his waterfront home with waterfront views of the Siesta Key North Bridge in January for $7.5 million.

The contemporary 4,559 square foot home at 3638 San Remo Terrace first listed in February 2025 for $9.975 million. Cook and his wife Dana purchased the home in 2013 for $2.95 million. It was completely rebuilt in 2016.

The home, located on .36 acres in San Remo Estates, has four bedrooms, four and a half baths, and a rooftop deck accessible by elevator. The home was first built in 2002 and designed by noted Sarasota architect Carl Abbott.

Sarasota realtor Joel Schemmel of the Schemmel Soda Group at Douglas Elliman Real Estate represented Cook. The home was purchased by Myron Robbins, president of Buffalo Management Group, Buffalo, New York. An apartment management company, Buffalo Management Group owns and manages 28 properties in Buffalo. Sarasota realtor Adnan Dedic of Compass represented Robbins.

Cook and his wife also own a penthouse condominium on Golden Gate Point in Sarasota.

Creedence Clearwater Revival was formed in 1959 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cook was one of the founding members of the group along with John Fogerty, Doug Clifford and Tom Fogerty. Through the years, the band’s classic rock songs have remained popular. Earlier this year, Forbes Magazine stated that “Creedence Clearwater Revival is regarded as one of the most successful American rock bands of all time.” Some of the band’s best-known songs include “Bad Moon Rising,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” and “Down on the Corner.”
