On Aug. 21, Sarasota County will replace its current permitting system with an enhanced program called Accela Civic Apps. To prepare for the launch, the current permitting system, known as Amanda, will be unavailable starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15.
Limited permitting services will be available Aug. 16, 17 and 18, then Accela will go live at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, with faster, simpler permitting for contractors, engineers and architects.
