Siesta Keys 2015 Junior Llifeguard Program allowed 18 participants aged 8-16, to participate in a week-long program that included hands-on learning experiences and character-building activities. Grab your Sneakers and Run!
Kids Summer beach runs give families an opportunity to have some family fit and fun time! It’s every Tuesday all summer long June to Aug 11, starting at 6:30 to about 7:30 to 8pm at Siesta Key beach. Each fun run is themed, July will be Stars and Stripes… T-shirts are given after completing 4 runs. With 4 races kids will also receive a 50% off coupon for New Balance. The registration area is at the new Pavilion and the run usually begins near the yellow life guard stand. There is a $1 registration fee. Registration begins at 5:30. Ribbons are given weekly and Imagine School provides cool off time with multi-colored popsicles! Adult races typically begin right after the kid’s runs and are organized by the Manasota Track club.
