“I’m very excited to meet all of our new neighbors and become a part of the greater Siesta Key community,” Dr. Ta said. She told the Siesta Sand that the catered event will feature individually portioned hors d’oeuvres and individual beverages. During the event, a special drawing will be held for those who make a dental appointment with Dr. Ta. Three lucky winners will take home an Oral-B Electric Toothbrush. That afternoon, from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm, Dr. Ta will also conduct free oral cancer screenings. At 3 pm, the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce and Dr. Ta will take part in an official ribbon-cutting.

Since opening her office this fall, to better care for her patients, Dr. Ta has been adding state-of-the art dental diagnostic equipment. During an interview, Dr. Ta demonstrated the new Seiler Precision Microscope and explained that “this dental microscope allows me to conduct a much more precise examination.” New equipment for dental implants and other procedures is also being added. “I am very committed to patient care and their comfort,” she said. “My patients have told us that they really appreciate our new chairs that are equipped with back massage features. They also find it calming to look out on our peaceful tropical gardens,” she said.

A practicing dentist for the past 25 years, Dr. Ta is a graduate of the University of Rochester, in Rochester, N.Y. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook’s School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ta completed her residency at the University of California at San Francisco in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She also provides emergency dental care for patients visiting Siesta Key and the surrounding area, as well as for full-time residents and those spending the season here.
