Local, historical art on display at Crossings at Siesta Key

Now open at the Crossings at Siesta Key, 3501 S. Tamiami Tr., is an art exhibit showcasing 17 pieces from the collection of the renowned Sarasota Colony of Artists.

It will be open every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Crossings is located near Siesta Key’s north bridge.

The Sarasota Colony of Artists, who formed in the 1920s, were inspired by the arrival of art-collector John Ringling during the same time. His circus acts served as the subject of many paintings and sculptures.
