The group behind the efforts to restore Midnight Pass — the former waterway between Siesta Key and Casey Key — will be presenting an update on its progress at the Oct. 6 meeting of the Siesta Key Association civic group. The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. at St. Boniface Church, 5615 Midnight Pass Rd.
Midnight Pass was altered by Sarasota County in the early 1980s and subsequent of that the flow between the Gulf of Mexico and Little Sarasota Bay has suffered, the Restore Midnight Pass group contends.
