Sarasota County is recruiting volunteers for another round of seagrass studies.

Seagrass is a great indicator of the health of local bays — where you see it plentiful, it means the waters are clear and sea life flourishes.

You can join the effort to survey our waters, between Nov. 8 and 22. You can pick where you’d like to help, or the county can help you find one.

If you don’t have a boat, snorkeling works. So do wading or kayaking.
