Fundraising for Cudjoe Key

Big Water Fish Market’s fundraiser to help rebuild Cudjoe Key, Florida, from the devastation Irma caused with a direct hit to the Keys, was met with generous support from friends and neighbors.

BWFM was able to raise $2000 for this worthy cause.  The funds raised were sent to Square Grouper Bar and Grill, which was demolished by the storm.  The owner has already begun the rebuilding process and hopes to be open in time for tourist season. With a little help from Siesta Key they come closer to accomplishing this goal.

Major contributors to the cause and special thanks go to:

Scott Dolan of Big Water Fish Market

Gemma and Dennis Huff of Hurricane Mike’s Saloon

Andrew Rauch of Tropical Beach Resort

Peter Castro, a Florida Keys resident

Craig Metille, a Sarasota resident

Captain Tony of TNT Charters

Bob and Emy Stein of Siesta Sand Paper

We received a special Thank you from Lynn Bell, owner of Square Grouper Bar and Grill via Facebook. It read:

“OMG! We received your donation and it made me and my staff cry. Thank you so much Siesta Key. Words cannot express to you how grateful we are for your generosity. We are still digging out but rebuilding and moving forward. One day at a time. Your donation will be put to great use for sure.  Huge Thank you to Siesta Key.”
