Spring Break this year brought many students and families to our shores looking for some sun and fun. Among them is this month’s island girl, Allison (21) from Houston, TX. Allison enjoys working out, hanging out with her friends and painting. She’s a student at Ole Miss and is majoring in Broadcast Journalism. “It is my first time visiting Siesta Key, she says. “I absolutely loved it. Beautiful beach. It’s a great place to relax but also to have fun. It’s really nice to jog on the beach right before the sun sets so you get to enjoy the beautiful view. For nightlife, we enjoyed Daiquiri Deck and the Beach Club. SKOB had great happy hour deals. It was my last spring break and we picked the right place. I would like to get a place here one day for a vacation home. We saw a lot of families and it seems like a great place for children. I also love the small island feel about Siesta Key. And, everyone there is very friendly! Felt like we practically were from there by the end of the trip!” (photos by Jaye Clements – Sarasota Photography) If you would like to be considered for our next island girl, please contact us at islandvp@verizon.net (You must be of legal age to participate) ~

The rest of the time she’s there, she brightens peoples day with her contagious smile and friendly wave.
