Meet Lauren, our March island girl. She’s lived her whole life in Sarasota and says some of her best memories were made right on Siesta Key. “I would be in the beach every day if I could,” she says and lives an active lifestyle. She loves being outdoors doing anything from hiking to paddleboarding. She also likes exploring her hometown, trying new restaurants and pubs. “I am a full-time wedding photographer. It is my passion. I love, love. It’s such an amazing experience to be part of such a special day and capture each couple’s unique love story. I am lucky to do what I love. I attended FSU and the Noles killed it this year!” www.LaurenBatesPhotography.com (Photos by Jaye Clements – Sarasota Photography)

VALENTINE STROLL Kayla Vail pouring “Siesta Key University” shop owner Lori Dean a sample of Chardonnay during the annual Valentine Stroll in the village on Siesta Key. Lori provided patrons with a complementary taste of Merlot or Chardonnay and chocolate kisses. This was her first year to participate as she just purchased the business a few weeks ago. Lori moved here in 1982 and also owns an airplane maintenance and repair shop at Sarasota airport. (Photo by Trebor Britt)
