On the afternoon of Oct. 26, the red tide warning on Siesta Key’s Turtle Beach was reversed after tests showed no presence of unacceptable bacteria levels in the water. It first was issued Oct. 19.
Turtle was among eight Sarasota County beaches to receive the warning due to elevated bacteria findings. All the beaches on the list have been cleared.
Beyond Turtle, the advisory was in place at Nokomis Beach, North Jetty Beach, Venice Beach, Service Club Park, Venice Fishing Pier, Brohard Beach and Caspersen Beach.
Siesta Beach did not receive any advisory.
