Save Siesta Key to hold downtown rally, Dec. 29

The group leading the effort for an incorporation vote is holding a rally in downtown Sarasota at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29.

It is being held at the “Unconditional Surrender” statue in Bayfront Park, located at 5 Bayfront Drive.

Nora Patterson Bay Island Park will be closed Sept. 26-27 for landscape maintenance. Park entry will be closed to boat traffic as well. The park is located at 946 Siesta Drive, near the north bridge.
