Seabirds the focus of first Beach University session

The popular Beach University kicks off at 9:30 a.m. March 7 with “Human and Wildlife Conflict,” presented by Dr. Maria Passarelli, a veterinarian with the Save Our Seabirds organization.

The environmental education series is held every Thursday in March at the Siesta Beach pavilion, 948 Beach Rd.

Recently, a representative with Save our Seabirds released two rehabilitated gulls back into the wild on Siesta Beach. Here’s a link to a video:
