The Siesta Beach volunteer ambassadors recently received a recognition luncheon at the Siesta Beach pavilion, courtesy of Sarasota County.
During the past 18 years, the ambassadors have greeted more than 260,000 beach visitors, averaging out to about 14,450 people per year.
The program partners with Visit Sarasota County and the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce.
