We’re No. 2! We’re No. 2!
OK, so maybe Siesta Beach doesn’t get to triumphantly raise its index finger again this year, but TripAdvisor users did indeed rank it as the top beach on America’s mainland for 2022, according to the website.
The top U.S. choice for its Best of the Best Beaches Traveler’s Choice Awards went to Hawaii’s Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area, on the Big Island.
In 2020, Siesta Beach was ranked No. 1 in the U.S. It held the No. 17 spot last year.
Regarding the 2022 rankings, Siesta Beach was also No. 14 in the world. In 2020, it was No. 11. It wasn’t ranked globally in 2021.
Nine Florida beaches for 2021 ranked in the top 25 spots, which is more than any other state. Along the Gulf, that includes Pensacola Beach at No. 11, Henderson State Park Beach in Destin at No. 12, Treasure Island at No. 19, Panama City Beach at No. 21, St. Pete Beach at No. 22, and Clearwater Beach at No. 24.
Rankings for Florida beaches on the Atlantic Ocean went to St. Augustine Beach at No. 14 and Fort Lauderdale Beach at No. 18.
Last year, St. Pete Beach took the top honors for America.
The world’s top beach for 2022, according to TripAdvisor’s poll, is Grace Bay Beach in Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos Islands, in the Caribbean.
