Some Siesta Key restaurants as well as the island’s two grocery stores have come through the storm and are open for business. The Siesta Sand surveyed local eateries up and down the island and discovered that while some are still in the process of conducting repairs and getting back to full operating levels, many are ready to serve their customers. Although for now, some restaurants report limited menus, they are open. In the words of an old Irish proverb, “laughter is brightest in the place where the food is.” Laughter and a good meal are both on the menu on Siesta Key.
As of Monday, October 1, the following Siesta Key restaurants and markets are open or planning to open in the early part of this week. Others continue their recovery efforts and report that they hope to welcome friends and new customers again soon. We will continue to report when other businesses are open.
