2/23 – Vehicle Burglary

The victim reported his 2005 Key West Center Console Boat was boarded by an unknown person(s) and several boating accessories were stolen. A bilge line was cut and caused the boat to partially sink, resulting in $2,000 worth of repairs.

2/23- Bicycle Theft

The victim and his wife locked two bicycles in the bike rack near the tennis courts of their complex. The next morning, they discovered that the bikes had been stolen. One lock was cut with a bolt cutter, and the other lock was missing. The case remains open.

2/26- Public Beach Theft

An unattended bag was stolen from the beach. A driver license and various items were in the bag. Case is under investigation.

3/1- Battery with Injuries

A fight broke out between two men in the restroom of a bar. The victim declined medical treatment and waived prosecution for the crime of battery.

3/9- Theft

Various tools were reported missing from a utility trailer at a construction site. There were no signs of forced entry. The complainant reported that his son had walked off of the job the previous day and has not returned. The complainant thinks this may be related to the stolen items. The case remains open.

3/12 – Theft

The victim left two bicycles at the end of his driveway overnight. The next morning, when he noticed one was missing, he notified the property manager. Surveillance showed the perpetrator enter the property at 6 am, select a bike, and ride away with it south on Midnight Pass Road. The case remains open.

3/14 – Stolen Car

A rented Ford Echo Sport was parked on a condominium complex unlocked with the keys inside of it. The renter discovered the vehicle missing the next morning. It was parked in front of another car in a driveway. The perpetrator drove the car across into an adjacent lawn. The case remains open.
