Snacks, drinks now available in to-go form at Siesta Beach concession stand

Looking for a quick snack or drink while on the go at Siesta Beach?

Now operating at ground level near the pavilion is the Shark Tank concession stand, featuring alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, soft pretzels (plus cheese), chips, chips and cheese, and sno cones.

The renting of chairs and umbrellas is also available.

Christmas-themed market is Dec. 17 at Crescent Beach Market

The Crescent Beach Market, located at 1211 Old Stickney Point Rd., will on Dec. 17 be home to a Christmas-themed market event that will feature wine tasting, local craft vendors, local craft beer, charcuterie samples, cheese, desserts, and much more. It runs between 3 and 5 p.m. Patrons will also enjoy giveaways and prizes.

Christmas service on beach is Dec. 23

The Church of the Palms will hold a Christmas service at the Siesta Key public beach, 948 Beach Rd., beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23 near the volleyball courts.The service is contemporary with an emphasis on holiday songs. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs and/or blankets.
