Q:  Dear Donnarose, I’ve had a rough past with a lot of negative experiences.  I know I need to let go of it all, but I have always struggled to do so.  I was told it had something to do with my mother and the love I had for her.  Can you possibly explain this? ~Chuck

A: ~ “We may choose to let go of the pain from our past, but any love we felt then, will forever last."- Donnarose Melvin

Chuck, you are not alone as so many of my clients struggle with this.  You have been carrying the pain from your past with you for so long, that it’s like carrying around a huge boulder which has slowly dragged your energy to a very low level.  The thing is, many hold on to their past because there were key people who they loved, and they want to hold on to that memory.   It’s important to realize that letting go of the past doesn’t mean you love your mom any less.  It just means you’re done with the pain.  It’s critical to identify all the negative energy emotions you have experienced from the dark patches of your past.  Then embrace and release them with love.  The good part is that the love for your mother when she was alive and still now, will always remain like I mentioned in my quote.  And occasionally reflecting on that love can be very comforting.  So once you allow the pain from your past to be released, you will surely begin to feel the peace.  All the best to you Chuck.~♥

Q:  Dear Donnarose, I’m an assistant retail manager and we have one manager we report to.  The issue is our employees keep quitting no doubt due to the way the manager treats them.  Any suggestions on how to get them to stay?  Thank you in advance. ~Joyce

A: ~ "I can live for two months on a good compliment."- Mark Twain

Well Joyce, since space is limited, I must be brief and address the bottomline.  This issue is unfortunately a hot topic in a lot of companies.  I’ve seen it over and over how many employees quit not because they didn’t get a raise let’s say, but because of the way they were treated.  Many have told me that if their boss positively recognized their performance, it would make them feel happy and would motivate them.  One thing I know for sure as a former boss a few or more times, is that genuine praise and recognition is highly motivating.  You of course can’t force your boss to praise anyone, but you as an assistant manager can surely do the deed.  Praise pays in many ways.  It increases efficient production and helps with the longevity of the staff’s employment.  Consider that when you P.R.A.I.S.E. someone, you are a Person Raising Another Individual’s Self-Esteem.  That in itself can be a great start to keeping your staff on board.  Make praise one of the priorities in your company, and watch the tremendous difference it will make.  It truly does work.  All the best to you Joyce. ~ ♥

Q:  Dear Donnarose, I have a special man in my life, Michael, and we have an extremely deep spiritual connection.  However, I have yet to allow us to be together physically.  How can I bring us together and move forward with this relationship? ~Mehla

A: ~ "Your body is still your temple, no matter what it’s been through.  And your soul that resides in it, will help you start anew." -Donnarose Melvin

Mehla, I read the rest of the details in your question, and here’s what I got from it.  Due to the abusive type of treatment and unsuccessful relationships you’ve endured, has caused you to shut the door to you physically inviting anyone in.  Yet you love Michael and allowed him in telepathically, and have been very successful in that sense, as you have no problem loving the spiritual part of you.  It’s now time to also reclaim your love for yourself as a physical being.  This will then help you to allow Michael into your physical space.  What will help get you to this point is to first allow yourself to forgive the people involved.  Then acknowledge, embrace and release with love, any negative emotions that are connected to your body and past negative treatment to it.  The more you continue to chip away at this, the sooner you will unveil what’s left, which is the masterpiece of love that you truly are, spiritually and physically.  As you embrace this more and more, you will begin to feel a sense of relief.  And your thoughts and then action of inviting Michael into your physical space will come with more ease and peace.  Enjoy the soon-to-be visit!! ~♥
