Q: Dear Donnarose, within the past 2 months, I seem to be having more vivid dreams than usual. How much should we really pay attention to them? ~ Regards, Claudia
A: “The sooner you heed the messages in your dreams, you will find they're no longer repeated.” ~ Donnarose Melvin
In reference to experiences with my own dreams, my clients, and what Spirit has told me, certain dreams are just as important to pay attention to and heed, as you would advice from a mentor. Daydreams are equally important. Some dreams are meaningless and match what we may have watched on TV. But others may be trying to bring suppressed feelings and energy to the surface so one can heal. Prior to doing professional readings, while sleeping, I received important messages for people. Some in this situation may think they were dreaming. But I knew it was Spirit or a loved one visiting to provide a critical message.
So, whether it's a dream or Spirit, I recommend to always stay receptive, as Spirit may need to give you a message that can significantly help you or someone you know. As long as you ask your angels to keep you protected and safe daily, there's nothing to fear. Trust me when I say, that messages during the night or during day dreams can be wonderfully life-changing, and for some, life-saving.
Now some dreams are pretty quick and basic where the important messages don't have to be deeply analyzed or decoded. Still, take them as face value and heed them. Other dream-state messages may be more symbolic, where you will need to decode them. There are many dreams dictionaries out there and free information online. So definitely take a little time to research same. Out of the books I've read, my favorites thus far are: Angels Whisper to Us: Decoding the Messages in Daydreams, by Daria Justyn, a good friend of mine. And, Dreams: Your Magic Mirror, by Elsie Sechrist, who had sessions, and worked closely with the amazing Edgar Cayce, who I also favor. Both books mention stories and experiences, as well as guidance on certain symbols that show up.
And lastly, try to look forward to your dreams. They have done nothing but help me, and they'll do the same for you. And, yes, even the scary ones. ~ ♥
Q: Dear Donnarose, I continue to struggle with keeping negative thoughts out of my mind. And as a result, it has caused me many problems. Please advise. ~ Jillian
A: “You have the power every day, to only allow positive thoughts to stay.” ~ Donnarose Melvin
If you Google “negative thoughts”, you'll often find it written that they're built on fear. The good news is, when we remove the fear, these negative thoughts have nowhere to thrive. The not so good news is, our Ego will keep checking to see if the fear returned, so it can put more negative doubtful thoughts at the door, knock, then run leaving you stuck with them again.
The only thing that can successfully replace fear, is love. Invite your Higher Self, or your Angels to hold the space of love in your mind. This is where all your positive rational thoughts towards yourself and any situation can reside and be accessible 24/7. But the homework below, or rather light work as I like to call it, must be done first. But after you do it and practice, it does get easier. Now there are all different ways the experts out there suggest to rid ourselves of negative thoughts. The way I taught classes on this many moons ago, revising it now just a bit, is to get a sheet of paper, and make 2 columns. Title left column, “REMOVE” and the right column, “APPROVE”. Then under REMOVE, write down all the negative “work against you” type thoughts that have been causing you to struggle. Example: “I'll never get to my goal weight.” Then under APPROVE, replace each negative/irrational thought, with a realistic, more positive/rational thought. Example: “If I take one day at a time, have the right items in my refrigerator, exercise realistically, and stay calm and patient, little by little the weight will come off.”
Then, after your list is done, I suggest to remove the stuck energy attached to the stories that are associated with all your REMOVE thoughts. One way is to do an energy clearing relating to peacemaking. You can say to yourself something like, “Universe, for ALL involved, in the past, present, and future; for all hurts and wrongs; for all the times we felt unloved, unsupported, invisible, guilty, ashamed, disrespected, minimized, fearful and unsafe, and times we imposed all this on others, please help us all forgive each other, forgive ourselves; be at peace with each other and at peace with ourselves, completely and fully, now and forever, for the highest good, all-ways. Please and thank you.”
Now, grab your shield, and from now on be the guard of your castle (your mind). Start guarding what is and is not allowed to enter your mind. Meaning, every single time you see a thought from your REMOVE list trying to enter your mind, put your shield up, take a breath, think REMOVE, and then immediately choose the corresponding APPROVE replacement thought. Trust me when I say, that the more you practice this, the sooner you will find the REMOVE list dwindling away. And it will become second nature much more often than not, that you will only allow the APPROVE thoughts to enter your mind. ~ ♥
