Your July Horoscope

ARIES (March 21–April 19): If you’re feeling a little “loony,” no one would blame you, Aries! July 5th features the “grand finale” of a rare triple-play eclipse cycle that will activate your professional tenth house for the coming few weeks and even months. What big plans have you been holding back on but are now ready (or almost ready) to launch? If possible, avoid the 14th, 15th and 20th, when the Sun opposes three different heavyweight planets and waves a yellow flag.

TAURUS (April 20–May 20): July brings the last eclipse in a rare triple-play cycle. This “grand finale,” on the 5th, occurs in Capricorn and sparks your ninth house of travel and adventure. If you had to cancel a trip and are chomping at the bit to get away, do your “safety checks” and consider scaling back on overly ambitious plans—but do something! Even your “homebody” sign is itching for something exceptional. Do your research and you might score a great deal!

GEMINI (May 21–June 20): An unusual third eclipse on the 5th fires up your passion zone, putting you in the mood for merging. But with your ruling planet, playful Mercury, retrograde in Cancer and your financial sector until the 12th, don’t loosen up on those self-imposed austerity measures just yet. But once the quicksilver planet resumes forward motion—and sometime around a rare second new moon in that same area (on the 20th), things could start looking up for you—in a big way.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): On the 20th, your sign will host a super-rare second new moon! What big shifts have you been eager to enact, whether they get you excited or make slightly terrified? But before that, there’s a potent lunar eclipse (a full moon) in your partnership sector, which can bring things to a turning point—or call in someone with great potential if you’re single… and willing to meet someone where they are—as opposed to where you hope they will be.

LEO (July 23–August 22): Despite Mars activating your most public chart sector all month, part of you would rather fly way under the radar. A lunar eclipse on the 5th then a rare second Cancer new moon on the 20th fire up your houses of healing, service and introspection. But you’ll only be doing that deep work on your own if you choose to. And until the Sun blazes into your sign on the 22nd, it’ll also be in low-power mode until Leo season kicks off.

VIRGO (August 23-September 22): Merging on your mind, Virgo? With passionate Mars blazing through your house of intimacy and seduction all month (and for the rest of the year), you’re more than ready to break out of any self- (or otherwise) imposed quarantine restrictions and reconnect! And then a lunar (full moon) eclipse lights up your romance sector on the 5th, making it nearly impossible to fly solo. Already attached? Give your beloved a double dose of your attention and affection.

LIBRA (September 23–October 22): You might feel pulled in two directions as passionate Mars roars through your relationship house all month, and your ruler, amorous Venus, tours your adventurous ninth house. On the other hand, a lunar (full moon) eclipse lights up your domesticity center on the 5th, exerting gravitational force to keep you close to home for the weeks (and possibly months) following. Fortunately, yours is the sign of balance, and you know what they say about practice making perfect!

SCORPIO (October 23–November 21): Take care of others… or put numero uno first? Tough call since you’ll be tugged in different directions this month. Your co-ruler, Mars, is in self-interested Aries all month (and for the rest of the year), yet in the ultimate paradox, he’s traveling through your house of work, healing and service. But the other love planet, Venus, is at cross-purposes in your zone of intimacy and seduction. Everyone’s going to want a piece of you, so prepare some excuses now.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 21): Regardless of your relationship status, July is made for romance! Impassioned Mars is blazing through your fifth house of amour all month, and the other love planet, Venus, is nestled in your house of partnership. Making matters even steamier, a rare second Cancer new moon lands next to the heat-seeking Sun (on the 20th), amping up your seduction zone. Hopefully you’re caught up with work and other distractions because your heart is going to be calling the shots!

CAPRICORN (December 22–January 19): July begins on a high note—with a full moon lunar eclipse in your sign on the 5th followed by a rare second Cancer new moon (on the 20th) in your partnership sector. Heating things up even more is passionate Mars in your foundational fourth house all month (and for the rest of the year). You might not catch up on your sleep until 2021! But if you don’t want to crash and burn just as the party’s getting started, pace yourself!

AQUARIUS (January 20–February 18): Part of you feels like you “should” venture out into the wider world, but another part has gotten used to connecting with your smaller tribe. July begins with a lunar (full moon) eclipse on the 5th in your most meditative sector followed by a rare second Cancer new moon (on the 20th) in your house of healing. And with most of the rest of the planets hunkered down in your internal sector, your social sign is willing to wait it out another month—or longer.

PISCES (February 18–March 20): You’re eager to refill the coffers, especially if your bottom line took a hit during the pandemic. The good news is that activating Mars is in trailblazing Aries and your financial zone all month (and for the rest of the year). This will fill you with ideas, drive and boundless energy. But pace yourself, Pisces! A rare second Cancer new moon (on the 20th) electrifies your amorous fifth house, and you won’t be all work and no play!
